== Synopsis ==
The demons are led by a mage specialising in teleportation magic and an archer, both above level 40. The Blighted King watches a projection of the outside and realises that most of the demons are Fearless. His champions move to engage the demons but are killed, Xersia manages to close in on the mage before she's teleported into the sky and falls to her death.

The Blighted King and Nereshal hold council about how to combat the demons that teleported in bypassing the teleportation ward. They decide to send everyone able to fight to retake the castle and courtyard. Richard, Emily, the other Earthers and the nobles prepare to set out. The other Tom takes over and approaches the Blighted King and reintroduces himself.

Tom tells them that he knows who let the Demons get past the teleportation ward and he points to the Fool. Nereshal stops him from leaving and Tom points out that the teleportation ward was swapped with a fake using the Fool's skill. He suggests that they take out the lights from the corridors to delay the demons and to blast each corridor one by one ignoring any servants. Nereshal and the Blighted Queen move out to confront the demons and Tom takes Othius' sword and heads to slay the two Demon leaders. In a dark corridor Tom appears and begins killing some of the Fearless after stealing a fireball before disappearing and reappering constantly.

Tom teleports back to the banquet hall and takes the Fool with him for a hostage negotiation. As Tom drags the Fool to the demons, the Fool reveals that he tried to get the Princesses to safety before the attack, blaming the Blighted King for killing innocents. They meet Nereshal at the battlements at the top of a tower and Tom calls out to the demons. Tom realises that the Mage Demon and the Fool are lovers and after taunting the demons he jumps off the weor. Nereshal teleports Tom next to the Demon Archer and kills him, the Demon Mage teleports away and Nereshal and Tom clear out the rest of the demons from the courtyard.

The Blighted King and Queen arrive in the courtyard after the battle is over, the Fool falls from the tower and tries to kill the Blighted King. The Fool manages to dodge the soldiers and juggles Nereshal's lightning before sending it back at him. The fool manages to approach the Blighted King and holds a knife to his throat trying to coerce him into explaining the cost of the ritual. When the Blighted King refuses to talk Tom attacks Princess Erille with throwing knives forcing the Fool to intervene. Tom then burns the Fool with the stolen fireball. The dying Fool tells Tom that the ritual cost ten thousand unborn souls and that the Blighted King plans to keep doing it to win the war against the demons.

Tom levels as a [Clown] and [Hero].
