Erin walks into Liscor's marketplace and challenges the shopkeeper who ripped her off in [[Chapter 1.13 (Archived)]]. They agree to wager on a chess game between her and Olesm. Relc finds them playing and tries to warn Erin that Olesm is supposed to be a superior player, but she and Lism both insist on continuing the game. While Olesm stays confident, he soon finds himself in one check situation after the other.
