| [[Calescent]] experiments with cooking with a bunch of garlic that was spawned in by [[The Box of Incontinuity|[The Box of Incontinuity]]] while [[Lyonette du Marquin|Lyonette]] and [[Yelroan]] catalogue the information they gather from [[Erin Solstice|Erin's]] new [[skill]], Yelroan thinks about the makeup of the residents of [[The Wandering Inn]] and its allies before checking in on the staff with speaking with [[Peggy]] about her satisfaction and future desires in life. In turn Yelroan speaks on wanting to find an actual mathematical challenge for himself to push forward the understanding of something, things at the inn are in a strange position with Erin gone and Lyonette being in charge who is so resistant of anything big happening. | | A day after the events of the last chapter, [[Calescent]] is trying to incorporate large quantities of garlic into his cooking – garlic duplicated with the [[Erin Solstice/Leveling History|[Box of Incontinuity]]]. | Lyonette and Selys clash [[auras]] with each other as they debate the topic with tension rising between the two, having enough of her petty hatred Lyonette slams the [Heiress] with how she never suffered for the defense of Liscor nor the inn and that [[Tekshia Shivertail|Tekshia]] wouldn't back any of her words. Colfa arrives just in time to remove Lyonette from the small riot that's happening at City Hall before things can get more unpleasant, returning back to the inn they come to learn that Tessa has left for [[Tenbault]] leaving one of her blades behind. Colfa is sat down and her order taken by [[Rosencrantz]] while Lyonette stresses about how she'll solve her problems, the children talk if they go on with their plan to blackmail Lyonette with Sammial being taught to say please by Rosencrantz while ordering his food. [[Rose Cinevoy|Rose]] tries to make herself not a problem while Colfa and Lyonette discuss their next step on the Rheirgest problem asking for food for herself, she learns that Calescent removed the garlic from the [Box] and isn't able to put the bulbous vegetable back inside which marks one of its limitations.

While Colfa is keeping the kids off her back, Lyonette can finally rest a bit. The kids visit [[Nerul Gemscale|Nerul]] to find out what gold coin would be best to duplicate, and in the end they decide on a coin that is high in gold content and whose engraving has worn off, making it untraceable. |

| Overwhelmed, Lyonette goes to her room for a time to think over Erin's level 50 capstone skill as it appears on her chest, she is somehow able to learn the name of the skill wondering which of their friends will suffer to fight for the next cause. The children slowly make their way to Lyonette's room to blackmail her but Colfa stands in their way which they tried many times to make it past her failing every time, Nanette escalates the situation by bringing out her wand to which Colfa tosses her out of a window landing on a pile of snow outside. That puts the fear in the three other children making their way back to the main hall of the inn with Mrsha remembering that Colfa is a mother herself and that she was so cool.

| Lyonette wakes up from her nap and goes down to the main hall to meet with the guests of the inn, after talking to [[Relc Grasstongue|Relc]] before asking Valeterisa on her results learning that the garlic did not come from a Cornucopia skill, asking for further clarification Valeterisa goes in depth into the many tests she's done to test the magical worth of the garlic. Demsleth joins the conversation by saying that it's hard to properly quantify magic as the value change over time and that magic itself is tricksome with all of its variant forms, he then presents that he used time magic to age the garlic to see how it would deteriorate going into a further discussion about magical incidents with Valeterisa. Ignoring the conversation, after hearing that the garlic is real Lyonette immediately calls for a staff meeting.

| In the Secret Earther Room of the inn, Lyonette tests to see if she can put garlic back into the box while Yelroan mutters to himself in front of a blackboard about how certain rules of reality are measured wondering if the same can be done for magic, he leaves a 'M = ?' on the board as he expounds upon the foundation he needs to set before making his journey to the root equation of magic. Lyonette starts to speak on how they failed everyone, that at the beginning Erin did what she can to help and support others but as time passed the inn has been accruing more debt than it can repay, that she's been afraid of the next big event being the reason why she hasn't done anything major or let anyone touch the wand telling the children that they are too hasty in acting with no plan in mind. That even with Liscor and others distancing themselves from the inn that they'll repay their debts somehow, Yelroan brings up that they don't really have the funds to do what they need which neatly falls into Lyonette's trap as she dumps [The Box of Incontinuity] on the table. Lyonette asks Yelroan which sort of gold coin they have is the most valuable causing everyone to go into a shocked pause.

| Mrsha and Nanette take a trip to the [[Salazsar|Salazsarian]] Embassy in [[Invrisil]] to meet with [Diplomat] [[Nerul Gemscale|Nerul]] asking him about the different denomination of gold coins and their worth, he goes into the different organizations that mint coins, that not all coins are made the same with different mixtures of alloys, how to identify forgeries from real coins, and that the coins are processed with detailed designs to make it more difficult to copy. Seeing one of the coins the girls' brought in Nerul remarks on coins made by defunct nations or producers and how most of the gold supply are shamefaced coins where the source can no longer be derived, he then brings out the Salazsarian Goldstriker—a thicker and wider pure gold coin—which is used as a political message against other coinage.

| Entering the [[Garden of Sanctuary|[Garden of Sanctuary]]] the two girls present the Salazsarian Goldstriker to Lyonette who explains that its not a good fit for what they're looking for as it will draw attention as to how they have so many of the distinct coin, she picks out a shamefaced coin out of the lot having it tested by Demsleth first before going forward dropping the coin into the [Box] and sees that it produces one every thirty seconds. Thinking on it the [Box] Lyonette wished it could go faster, and it does with the [Box] beginning to shoot out coins at an incredible rate dumbfounding everyone. With their newfound wealth, Lyonette sends Ishkr to Liscor to get the ball rolling on a lot of their initiatives while she calls Normen to think about a keep for the Order of Solstice, in the back of her mind Lyonette waits for the catch to happen.
