The GDI stands for the Grand Design of Isthekenous. ==tl;dr== * The two Grand Design of Isthekenous discuss events of catastrophe similar to what happened in the [[Palace of Fates|[Palace of Fates]]]. * Mrsha is shown a bit of the process that goes into judging deeds and granting rewards. * The Grand Design interferes in the real world by destroying all of the Faerie Flowers for what they can allow to happen, for the sake of balance it exchanges the eradicated flowers with something of similar value. * The Grand Design and Mrsha have a discussion about the machinations of higher beings and the folly of plans. * Mrsha is shown by the 2nd Edition the consequences by seeing who's alive, dead, and those from the palace that remained in Innworld. * The Grand Design takes 2nd Edition and Mrsha to where all those from the palace have went, giving the task to judge their deeds to the 2nd Edition. * The three see the survivors of the palace in the outskirts of a continent-spanning city endeavoring to prepare for whatever comes next. * After saying their goodbyes, The Grand Design and Mrsha return to Innworld to find out what comes next. ==Synopsis== The 2nd Edition of Grand Design of Isthekenous has an existential crisis and fears for what is going to happen next as events surrounding the [[Palace of Fates|[Palace of Fates]]] end. Even then it continues to work on repairing what's broken and judge the deeds of those that participated, but even with its vast powers it still has trouble quantifying all that was destroyed and admonishes how it was blind to it all. The Grand Design brings up "The Long Night" as another moment in history with a similar state of destruction, how the world had changed with the death of magic and the average level rose significantly to tackle on the struggles of the age. The Grand Design notes however that this incident with the palace wasn't the worst moment of their existence, that when they awoke that the reality of Innworld was riddled with scars of a multi-reality war. It goes on to reconstruct the [Palace of Fates] for its eventual inheritor as it acknowledges the wrongdoing it has done to the 2nd Edition. Mrsha notices the difference between the two Grand Designs with the 2nd Edition being more experimental and radical. Unsure of what to do, she follows the 2nd Edition as it starts to reward levels, skills, and classes to those at The Wandering Inn, seeing Silveran and his crew Mrsha from her point of view is able to clearly see his information. She thinks of his class as trash but the 2nd Edition admonishes her as all classes have their worth as they all grow more esoteric the higher level they are, an example given is about a level 86 [Farmer] who sacrificed all his power and his fields to a seed of his favorite tree that eventually became the World Tree of the Vale Forest. Moving on the 2nd Edition first looked to Liska to assign rewards as her head is being reshaped from her injuries from the fight, after doing the calculations it shows Mrsha three potential class changes Liska could receive choosing [Portal Guardian] as being the best fit for her. The 2nd Edition shows her a few more results before telling the gnoll child to go check on the Grand Design for a time. The Grand Design is rebuilding the palace to no longer create souls, as Mrsha appears The Grand Design starts a long list of needed actions to be done with the conjuring of high tier spells to destroy all of the Faerie Flowers in the world. Even with all the good the flowers can be used for, the potential of what they can allow is too much that the Grand Design has to interfere. The flowers under the care of [Gardener] Mossul were eradicated, those preserved in alchemy shops, the surviving flowers in the [[Garden of Sanctuary|[Garden of Sanctuary]]] all destroyed with nothing remaining. Yet with this decision must come balance, in the place of the faerie flowers something of equivalent value was exchanged. Most in the inn didn't care too much about the flowers with all the havoc that took place, Saliss checks his stocks to see what was exchanged as he, Mirn, and Rose make their way to Pallass. Mrsha after seeing the results ask the Grand Design of her relevance but before that conversation can happen, it shifts to who is at fault for the events occurring as they did in the palace. The Grand Design points the finger at Oberon, whether what happened was a part of his machinations or he just gambled on chance doesn't matter as he meddled in key incidents that influence certain outcomes. But even with the intelligence and power these great being might posses they cannot account for every factor for if they could they wouldn't be in this situation, Oberon might have believed in the childishness of Mrsha a bit too much, for even he couldn't predict what Mrsha did. Hearing that Mrsha ask if all of it was just happenstance, to make its point clear the Grand Design brings up Earth's "Butterfly Effect", that within the plots of higher beings Mrsha was the butterfly flapping her wings. Understanding all of that Mrsha is ready to be taken beyond but the Grand Design is still waiting for the moment to come, while they wait Mrsha ask the big question of if the Grand Design can interfere for the sake of fairness and balance, why haven't they gotten rid of the Dead Gods for their unfairness. The Grand Design response with the time she fought with a hatchling Rock Crab under the supervision of Relc, as in the baby rock crab other than a freak accident occurring would never be able to overcome Relc in a fight. That the situation may be unfair but the Grand Design's job is to judge the worth of actions, not whether the unfairness should be allowed, that gods are just a different, more complex butterfly. Mrsha exclaims that the Grand Design would be a better god for it at least cares a bit, the Grand Design debates the principles of morality with Mrsha about it going outside its veneer of impartiality before teleporting Mrsha to go bother the 2nd Edition. The 2nd Edition agrees with some of Mrsha's points as it starts to show the gnoll the consequences of the events, those who've died and those that remained. Teriarch applies an ointment on his injuries as he converse with Evein, the King of Pheislant, explaining the situation while omitting specific details. Teriarch convices the King about the source, the plan, and the death of The Goblin King, the importance and the protections placed on the Wandering Inn, doing his best to play defense for the inn. In the embassy of the Iron Vanguard in Invrisil, Zevara and a number of guards chase after Lord Moore after he broke into the Liscor's Council meeting saying that he'll take charge of the situation, Zevara tries to arrest the Half-Giant but Lord Moore says that his doing all of this for the sake of Liscor. Seeing the necessity for recompense from the nations that bombarded Liscor and the inn, Zevara grants Lord Moore the rank of junior guardsman and tasks him with dealing with the discussions with the [Diplomats]. Mireden booms his voice laying claim to settle Liscor's troubles right, to not fail his city again. The [Guild Master] of Invrisil's Runner's Guild, Xalanch, is in shock as he see someone try to fake as someone dead who is trying to do damage control for the Wandering Inn. In anger Xalanch tries to punch the fake Valceif but seeing the same movements the late Courier would've made, Xalanch puts a stop to the tussle. Valceif learns that his original self failed to survive the ambush by the Bloodfeast Raiders that one run and stays in place to tell his story to the [Guild Master]. Mrsha sees "Better Days" Kevin and Older Mrsha relate to one another in the garden about losing their worlds while still feeling the need to interact with the real one in some manner. Beach Kevin goes on to talk about common tropes surrounding a certain sphere of literature. Rags in the now known location of Goblinhome stands with the remaining 800 goblins from the Tribe of Dreams as they converse about the next steps. With knowledge about gun making, faith, and future magics, Rags believes that they'll have enough time for the next confrontation. Rags then confronts Naumel about who is to have control of the goblins since the death of Ragathsi, that a duel for leadership will be done by dawn and to be ready for her levels. As she walks away thinking on what kind of Goblin Lord she'll be, Rags vows to never let The Goblin King win and to always be his enemy. Mrsha asks what Rag's new class will be but the 2nd Edition doesn't know since the Grand Design has choice over that. The Grand Design comes over to start that needed chat with the 2nd Edition about its future. The Grand Design brings up the point that there can't be two of them serving the same purpose, the 2nd Edition accepts its fate of termination but pleads to do what little it can. Dismayed by the 2nd edition and Mrsha's thoughts of it, it makes it clear that that is not what it has planned for. The Grand Design opens a doorway to the new realm all of the created people went to bringing the 2nd Edition and Mrsha along. In the plains of green grass of the new realm, four versions of Erin surround Raft Erin's The Wandering Ship as Raft Erin is slowly dying from her injuries. They talk as Divine Erin watches from afar as someone watches them all from somewhere even more remote. Another group of survivors chat amongst themselves trying to sort out a plan of action and leadership for the masses of people. Sserys starts to order the [Soldiers] around to make camp as the two Zel Shivertails make their way to the Erins. Raft Erin is surrounded by many great beings of magic as they try to help her with her injuries, even with lacking skills and boxed magics. Goblin Erin leaves to inform her tribe to watch out for beings like the Immortal Tyrant. Nerrhavia is talking to her subordinates as she plans how to diplomatically engage with the other groups when one of the Mrshas appears before her. This Mrsha thanks Nerrhavia for not trying to control everybody and tells her it would be nice to start handing out healing potions for the injured, also for her to stay in line or the Mrsha of level 70 would kick her butt. Mrsha beholds those in the other worlds as they prepare for whatever comes next, The Grand Design ask the 2nd Edition about what it has seen. The 2nd Edition understands that the plan for it was to be the judge of deed for those that travelled to the other reality, to do it however it decides. The Grand Design request the 2nd Edition to seal any openings between their realities, its reason being that the gods that meddled with its design after the death of Isthekenous might have written in some loopholes for them to use. It makes clear that its request is to be taken to the extreme, to destroy with all of its power if anything of Innworld were to come to this reality. Before accepting the 2nd Edition brings up two points of discussion, one binge if the Grand Design would willing to be the one to abandon Innworld instead to which it refuses to do and second, to see what the Grand Design has planned for Mrsha. Hearing the plan and giving a few corrections the 2nd Edition tells those that can listen that it is here to stay from whomever needs its levels and skills, it then restores the system to those under its purview. After receiving an 8/10 from Mrsha, the Grand Design brings her to the clue as to what the new realm is. Rabbiteater talks with Marquin as Gailant dwells on his failing duty to defend the world he sworn to protect. As Gailant was about to shed some light on where they are, a floating mass of an eye and optical cords arrives to greet them. Gailant gives further details that this world is a nexus place of realities, Rabbiteater is glad that he can still do some good as he waves goodbye to Mrsha up above. The Grand Design and Mrsha approach the city to see the strangeness and wonder it contains until they gain the notice of powerful beings, so they retreat back to familiar territory. Ready to head back to their world, with help from the 2nd Edition the two are noticed by the many people down below. Many share their grief, regrets, wishes, and farewells as the two leave for Innworld to find out what comes next. ==Characters== ( * = First Appearance) *Az’kerash "Better Days" (Mentioned)
