== Chronology == She befriended Solca Vis, who was hosted in her and Taxus' home. One day, Solca encountered her as she was diving for wood and offered her a ride back on her boat, during which she showed her some of her fishing techniques from Earth, and they briefly looked at the Last Tide. That night, Taxus asked Solca to take Chime with her when she left Hesheit. They encountered a Reefeye which Solca decided to catch later, and spotted a pirate ship. The next day, Chime accompanied Solca, and they caught a ferocious Reefeye. They were then approached by Bloodtear Pirates, who demanded they cede the Reefeye's jewel. As Solca was about to comply, the pirates spotted Chime's golden bell and demanded that as well. Unwilling to give it up, they fled instead, and the pirates gave chase. To lose them, they risked the current of the Last Tide, letting loose the Reefeye to use its strength to escape. However, the Reefeye then pounced on Chime, dragging her under, and Solca dove in after it. Solca freed Chime and killed the Reefeye with a knife, and then Chime dragged her back to the surface. When the pirates caught up, they were impressed and decided to make an exception. They offered to tow the boat back to shore and invited them onto the ship. Soon after, a Seamwalker emerged from the Last Tide.
