== Crossbows Variants == === Goblin Crossbows === Goblin [Tinkerers] under Rags created a few stone-shot crossbows. These had a lot less range and accuracy than a crossbow that used actual arrows, but ammunition was plentiful. Goblins could load them with small stones or even roll clay and dirt into pellets and bake them near a fire until they were hard. Garen Redfang dismissed those constructions as toys for hunters, while Rags insisted that they enabled even her weakest goblins to participate in a ranged fight. After leaving Tremborags mountain, Rags managed to get better-quality parts and let her [Tinkerers] improve the crossbow designs further. The goblins under her command eventually managed to manufacture more than a hundred crossbows that were capable of firing bolts. Even then, Rags owned her black crossbow which was still superior. === United Nation Crossbows === The United Nations Company on Baleros (re)invented the crossbow and the steel crossbow. Paige got the [Engineer] class for that feat. Daly and his Bushrangers were hunting with a crossbow that was described as a beast, made almost entirely of wood, save for a few small parts like the screws, sliding mechanism, and part of the trigger. Daly later got a hand-sized crossbow from the Fraerlings which could fire with the power of a much larger weapon and was equipped with a scope, heat vision, and night vision. Siri got a long crossbow with no visible limbs. === Ziozem Golem's Crossbow === During the Test of Mirrhen in Illivere, the golem entered by the state of Ziozem carried a crossbow big enough to qualify as a miniature ballista. === Automatic Reloading Crossbows === House El sell crossbows they enchanted to automatically reload. These have the same firing rate a bow wielded by an archer has. === Fraerling Crossbows === Fraerling Tallguard have enchanted crossbows for their size as part of their standard equipment. They use enchanted ammunition that can easily kill much bigger creatures and people. The Fraerlings made a bigger enchanted single hand crossbow for Daly, which he used to fight the Featherfolk Brigade. === Eitha's Enchanted Dwarfsteel Crossbow === Hawkarrow Tribe [Chieftain] Eitha's giant Dwarfsteel crossbow of the high-power variants from Deríthal-Vel’s forges themselves. Eitha had it enchanted into making it as sturdy as could be. It is so overtuned that it could hit a target over a thousand feet away without Skills, having the draw strength of over one thousand four hundred pounds of force. No one could physically draw the string back unless they had [Greater Strength]. And even so unless they also had [Enhanced Toughness] they would be in danger of cutting off their fingers with how much force they were putting into the enchanted metal string. Still this process can be bypassed safely and with easy by using the Skill; [Instantaneous Reload]. === Antinium [Crusader] Crossbows === The Antinium [Crusaders] that were part of Battalion 3 of the Antinium division in Liscor's Second Army were issued crossbows. These had oversized triggers so that an Antinium Soldier could pull them. They were cumbersome to reload, so a Soldier would typically only fire them once in a battle unless they had a break from the fighting. === Hunter's Guild Crossbows === Noelictus' Hunters have large crossbows made of dwarfsteel and enchanted by [Runemasters] as standard equipment. They have an effective range of 200 yards unaided. They're able to punch through hide and armor. Most Hunters get the [Automatic Reload] Skill at level 30, or they may have the crossbow enchanted to do it, making it even deadlier. Veteran Hunters possess better variants. === Greina's Crossbow === [Duchess] Greina carries a large crossbow, akin to a hand-ballista. === Fulviolo El's Crossbow === A crossbow made in the Els' workshops and wielded by Fulviolo El. It had an interior chamber that could cycle to change bolts. It fired bolts propelled by miniature spells that had little wings to change course and seek out targets. === Crossbow-wand === Not a crossbow by definition, it resembles a hand-crossbow without the bow. It has a glass sight with a black dot, and where there should be a quarrel is a wand instead. It can fire Tier 3 [Magipierce Bolts].
