Daquin is a port-city on Baleros known for hosting the recent Games at Daquin for Niers Astoragon's strategist students. == Overview == Narrow alleyways. An unfortunate lack of an [Architect]’s oversight when constructing the thoroughfares. You could hold an army in some of the streets. Others are too wide to easily block. The buildings are stone and wood; many with multiple stories. Some have doors that connect between buildings; Lizardfolk design. No sewers, though.6.22 D == Geography == In terms of size, the city is considered large, but not massive. Elvallian is three times bigger than the city.6.22 D The city is over 114 miles away from Elvallian as the sparrow flies,6.22 D and 10 days by ship from the Order of Seasons' headquarters using unknown skills == Population and Government == Daquin is a Lizardfolk city meaning that over 1/4 of its population is Lizardfolk. Daquin has a sitting council running it, not a mayor.6.22 D The known members of the council are as follows: * Councilmember Ulli - Lizardman * Councilmember Felit - Dullahan woman * Unnamed Dullahan man * 3 other unnamed Lizardman councilmembers6.22 D == Games at Daquin == The games at Daquin were a large-scale competition among the students and some alumni from the Titan's School against Tulm the Mithril. The goal of the competition for the students to use any preparation and strategy they could come up with to avoid capture by the "seekers" and also be the first to return to a 10x10 foot area around Tulm at the center of the city. The goal of the seekers would be to capture any students and ensure that nobody entered that area. For every student captured, the soldier would earn 10 gold coins. If a student made it into that area first then they would win the game, earning the right to ask one question of Niers. If Tulm and his company captured or subdued all the participants, he would earn the question. == Notable Features == The harbor has an open, bowl-shaped design with external watchtowers and a seagate that could be closed.6.22 D == Trivia == * Daquin has "very fine" prawns == References ==
