Dwarfhalls Rest was an abandoned Dwarf city, located in a large, lone mountain, north of Izril, close to Invrisil. It was until recently occupied by the Mountain City Tribe. == Geography == On the march from the High Passes towards the mountains, Rags noticed that her tribe had left the grasslands, entered a landscape of hills and forests, and then the rocky area that was dominated by the large mountain. It was close enough to the human cities of Merendia, Balum and Ostegrast that the mountain goblins knew the names of these cities. However, it was news to the humans of those same cities that there was a Great Chieftain located there. == Layout == The dwarven city is located within the mountains, accessible only via long crisscrossing tunnels and passages. The largest caverns had walkways with rough stone floors, but also balconies and alcoves of smaller caverns that connected to the large ones. The dwarven architecture was still visible after centuries, although dwarven statues had long since been smashed. Where goblins had damaged the original stone architecture during centuries of their occupation, they had built replacements and additional shortcuts with wood and rope. Under Tremborag, all entrances to the tunnels were well-guarded. His throne room was located even deeper in what seemed to be the heart of the mountain. The city receives light from lanterns, but in the largest areas there are also furnaces to provide warmth and light to the inhabitants - it was also the place of Goblin [Blacksmiths]. == History == It is unknown since when goblins lived in the city, since their inhabitation already lasted for centuries before Tremborag came along. It was, until Chapter 5.32 G, the residence of Tremborag, Great Chieftain of Goblins. When Rags set out from the mountain, she revealed the location to the citizens of Merendia. The humans gave Dwarfhalls Rest back to the Dwarves to be recolonised. == Known Inhabitants == === Current Inhabitants === * Afnild * Amared - Forgemaster * Cadimus - Forgemaster * Rlint - [Field Commander] === Former Inhabitants === *Tremborag * Ulvama *Pyrite * Garen Redfang == Trivia == * It’s name was revealed in Chapter 4.21 E. == References == <references />
