After being burned alive by her own changed Skill, Elia has faint burn scars all over her body.<ref name=":4" />

== Personality ==
In public, Elia carries herself as a composed and thoroughly professional adventurer, bearing all the dignity expected of her Named-rank. In private, she suffers from imposter syndrome, as her Named-ranked status is entirely from her reputation of killing the Goblin King, and her Skill, [Line-Ender Shot], one of the most powerful archery Skills in the world. Ironically, due to over-reliance of her great Skill, Elia has failed to level since killing Velan the Kind, plateauing at Level 42. Moreover, in order to maintain her reputation as one of the most powerful Named-ranked adventurers, Elia avoids taking on high level engagements, such as turning down requests to hunt down the [[Kraken Eaters]], or requesting to stay on the back lines during the Village of the Dead raid. Elia is often disillusioned, having contemplated multiple times on retiring or returning home to [[Gaiil-Drome]] and practicing archery for another decade. After her fall from grace—brought on by a public defeat at the hands of a [[Halrac Everam|Gold-ranked adventurer]]—she seemed relieved that her secret was finally out in the open.<ref name=":43">{{VERef|10.15}}</ref> She has complete control of her facial expressions to the point of being unreadable to a [[Thronebearers of Calanfer|Thronebearers]]. Thanks to her [Ranger] class, she possesses a prodigious memory, able to recall even the most obscure details from events years past. As a result, her journal entries are sparse prompts stripped of details and description.

== Background ==
Elia hails from [[Gaiil-Drome]]. She had her daughter [[Capoinelia Arcsinger|Capoinelia]] when she was still a Bronze-ranked adventurer. She brought her back to live with her family while Elia went out to earn money for them both.

Elia was a Silver-ranked adventurer who participated in the Second Antinium War. During [[Velan|Velan the Kind]]'s final charge, she was among the line of archers desperately firing arrows at the seemingly invulnerable Goblin. However, just when he was upon her, Velan looked at Elia, whose resemblance to [[Sprigaena|Sprigaena the Traitor of Elves]] caused him to hesitate, leaving him open for Elia's arrow to ram through his head, killing the Goblin King. She reached level 40 with this feat, gaining the [Line-Ender Shot] Skill.<ref name=":3">[[Interlude – Levels|Interlude - Levels]]</ref>  

Afterwards, the half-Elf’s fame for killing the Goblin King resulted in Elia Arcsinger becoming known as one of the greatest Named Adventurers of the current age.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/06/26/s02-the-antinium-wars-pt-5/ S02 – The Antinium Wars (Pt.5)]</ref> She was invited to every nation, and travelled for two years, being celebrated and showing off her capstone Skill. There were ample jobs for her, and she formed [[Arcsinger’s Bows|Arcsinger's Bows]]. Seeing how expensive the team was, she considered adventuring alone until her daughter, which she hadn't seen for twenty years, decided to join her as an adventurer. They've adventured together for six years.

Elia and her team where among the adventurers hired by [[Tyrion Veltras]], who she had a special arrangement with, to deal with the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord]]. Her presence was used to vacate [[Dwarfhalls Rest]] of Goblins.<ref name=":5.32 G">[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/10/27/5-32-g/ Chapter 5.32 G]</ref> Later, while still in the mountain, [[Greydath]] threw a sword at her, which she intercepted midair, to draw the adventurers attention on [[Garen Redfang]] while he left without being seen.<ref name=":2">[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/11/13/5-37-g/ Chapter 5.37 G ]</ref> Elia helped drive the Goblins towards [[Liscor]], and hit [[Tremborag]] with an arrow before Tyrion rode to kill him to stop the Goblin infighting the Chieftain caused, which could wear out the Goblin forces too much before reaching Liscor.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/01/08/5-51-g/ Chapter 5.51 G]</ref>

Elia met [[Ceria Springwalker|Ceria]] and [[Pisces Jealnet|Pisces]], who initially didn't recognize her, at [[Invrisil]]'s Adventurer's Guild after they reached Gold-rank.<ref name=":0" />

When members of the [[Kraken Eater Tribe]] escaped a circus in Invrisil and started killing, Elia was there and killed them as they faced her. She pursued the last Goblin, Nolocks, to [[the Wandering Inn]], but could not harm him in the establishment. However, Elia stated that the Goblins took children hostage and killed them. Nolocks was made to leave the inn through [[Numbtongue]]'s mining cave, and Elia pursued. Elia and her team participated in the [[Village of the Dead]] raid. Elia and her team were pushing to gain a relic-class item from the raid's loot, or even the Helm of Fire, but Ceria pressured her back, threatening to damage Elia's reputation and even challenge her to a public duel if she protested her decision. Elia and her team were invited to the ''Djinni's Spoon'' in Invrisil by Lord [[Xitegen Terland]]. He and other nobles hired her to slay the Goblinlands in [[Riverfarm]]. The plan was that Arcsinger's Bows would run reconnaissance on the target, and then the nobles would back her up in two days to attack.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2023/04/12/9-41-pt-2/ Chapter 9.41 (Pt. 2)]</ref> Arcsinger's Bows hired [[Spoken Vow]] and [[Cosmenaut]] the Duelist of First Landing for the job. Elia also tried to hire Halrac, but he refused, so they were forced to confine him. When the attack on the Goblinlands began, they clashed with a freed Halrac, [[Normen Callesn]] and the rest of the newly formed [[Order of Solstice]]. In the ensuing battle, she dueled Halrac, who proved to be nearly her equal. When Elia was about to use her [Line-Ender Shot], Halrac hit her with his arrow that had a piece of the [[Grand Design of Isthekenous|Grand Design]]'s heart. It altered her Skill to [Line-Ending Inferno], creating a pillar of fire that nearly burned her alive, though Normen managed to pull her to safety. After Elia's disgrace, Arcsinger's Bows disbanded from incurring multiple debts.<ref>{{VERef|10.13}}</ref> A reluctant [[Lyonette du Marquin]] extended an offer of employment to Elia as security at The Wandering Inn. Though extremely reluctant to be employed alongside Goblins and Antinium, Elia agreed to a one-night contract, which involved her standing guard during a poker game involving ''dangerous people'' such as [[Rhisveri Zessoprical]], [[Tolveilouka Ve’delina Mer]], [[Teriarch|Demsleth]], and [[Taletevirion]]. After the game, she leveled for the first time in years, convincing her to stay for the time being. She started to train [[Bird]].<ref name=":4" />

[[Calescent]] tried to "poison" Elia numerous times by spiking her food with dangerously increasing amounts of death spice, but much to the [Spice Chef's] confusion and despair, the half-Elf [Ranger] would always finish her meals with enjoyment, thanks to her spice tolerance being augmented by her Amulet of Fire Resistance. Elia tried quitting after she was ambushed by a rogue group of Goblins from Goblinhome. However, she was convinced to stay by [[Mrsha du Marquin|Mrsha]], who showed her the statue of [[Sprigaena]] in the [Garden of Sanctuary], as well as revealing the secrets of the [Palace of Fates]. With the help of [[Nanette Weishart|Nanette's]] (unwanted) intervention and the [World's Eye Theatre], Elia showed her memory of her slaying Velan the Kind to the audience of Goblins, the inn's staff, and [[Drassi Tewing]].<ref name=":5">{{VERef|Arcsinger's Memories – Interlude}}</ref>
