Marquin had a boisterous personality. In sharp contrast with her kingdom's current reputation of diplomacy and propriety, she had an unrefined manner of speaking, enjoyed cracking dirty jokes about her missing breast. While a great warrior, after the Creler Wars, she had no desire to kill anymore, and only took up arms six times after that. Despite her reputation as a [Diplomat], Marquin expressed dismay that [[Calanfer]]'s diplomatic prowess came at the cost of their military power. She has a low opinion of light magic, and objected to light as a motif for the [[Thronebearers of Calanfer]], suggesting that they should have been called the "Crelerbane Order." She regretted not telling her descendants to build up strength in preparation for other [[Dead Gods|enemies]].<ref name=": 8.70 E" />

== Background ==
Marquin fought during the end of the Creler Wars. After [[Rhir]] was reclaimed, rather than stay to help found the [[Blighted Kingdom]] or venture deeper to find what created the [[Crelers]] she chose to listen to [[Czkelcill Mirrex|Czkelcill Mirrex's]] warnings not to proceed and returned to [[Terandria]]. She was awarded the lands of Calanfer for her heroism and of top of that she was given the Dragonthrone of Illuminations by the Dragonlord of War, Mauridekash Lauthezaum Shorre<ref>{{VERef|10.34 MGF}}</ref>.

As a Queen, she put down her sword and sought diplomacy instead. She made peace with everyone she could, from [Barbarians] to Cyclopes to [[Goblins]]. <ref name=": 8.70 E" />
