== Appearance ==
Mithril has a gleaming white-silver appearance, and doesn't age like other metals.<ref>{{VERef|7.19}}</ref> Mithril alloys gain a green tinge over thousands of years.<ref>{{VERef|Mundanity and Memorials – Interlude}}</ref>

== Properties ==
It is lightweight but extremely expensive and malleable. It is commonly used in lightweight armor but is too expensive to make into regular or plate armor. Pure Mithril is not usually crafted into swords because it is too light and requires too much effort to get weight behind your blows. The most effective way to use Mithril as outlined by [[Dawil Ironbreaker]], is to refine and then mix it into a greater and stronger alloy. Dawil compares Mithril as a lesser counterpart to [[Adamantium]], Orichalcum, and Star Metal.<ref name=":0">{{VERef|4.45}}</ref>

== Forging ==
While requiring a very high temperature to work, it needs less heat than titanium.<ref>{{VERef|9.44 P}}</ref> Mithril needs to be cut with a stronger alloy.<ref name=":0" />
