== Overview ==
The People of God has around twelce thousand members, sixty percent of which is comprised of [[String People|Stitchfolk]], most of which are Hemp.<ref name=":2">{{VERef|10.56 F}}</ref>

== Beliefs ==
The People believe that God saves them from hunger, thirst, and monsters, and provides them with mana. The provide healing and refuse payment for it.<ref name=":2" /> They have a policy to help [[Earthers]].<ref name=":3">{{VERef|10.58 FP}}</ref>

They are opposed to slavery. They are also hostile towards other cults, even if they are non-religious, believing them to be liars. They seemed to be opposed to undeath, though the group that fought with Pisces did not seem to have a problem with him. They were opposed to Fetohep in particular, who they called an immortal tyrant that hoards wealth. The Prophet also believed that he was responsible for the [[Dead Gods]] that came to him on the Solstices untill corrected by [[Pawn]]. They deem [[A’ctelios Salash|A'ctelios Salash]] to be profane, and that its inhabitants cannot be saved.

They adhere to a New Bible being written, which will unclude non-human species like the Stitchfolk.<ref name=":3" />

== Capabilities ==
Members of the People of God are able to create bread and draw water from stone. They can put their healing [[miracles]] into scrolls. Their miracles burns the flesh of inhabitants of A'ctelios Salash.<ref name=":1" />

== History ==
The People of God was founded by the [[Prophet]], who converted others to his beliefs.

A group of sixty of the People aided Pisces and his group of escaped slaves against [[Roshal]] slavers.<ref name=":0">[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/12/12/8-57-h/ Chapter 8.57 H]</ref> They preached their faith afterwards before the two groups parted ways.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/12/15/8-58-pfh/ Chapter 8.58 PFH]</ref>

They came in conflict with the Cult of Windcaller’s Fury, and defeated the [[Soloxenethn|Fury of the Skies]]. In [[Medain]], they tried to induct new recruits and gain support to overthrow [[Khelt]], coming into conflict with the guards because of their diatribes. The People of Zeikhal invaded Khelt, battling the undead soldiers with little fear, their powers of faith proving effective against the undead.<ref>{{VERef|10.10 E (Pt. 1)}}</ref>
