In the past, Pewerthe and her family left Khelt to see the world. They were attacked by bandits called the Sands of Cuzale. See was the only survivor and spent seven months in captivity. During her imprisonment, she fostered distrust amongst the bandits by offering her services in stashing away money in her pots without the other bandits' knowledge. This eventually led to infighting and then bloodshed, which allowed her and a few others to escape and message Khelt for a rescue. A hundred and fifty riders of Khelt cut down her remaining pursuers and she returned home.
Three months after her return, Fetohep had her recount her escape to him. Impressed by her guile, he made her his heir should something happen to him.<ref name=":0" />
