Innworld is inhabited by many sapient species. <blockquote>For non-sapient species, see the Monsters page</blockquote> == Overview == Innworld has a diverse landscape of many sapient species all with unique backgrounds, rich cultures, and traditions. Throughout history, many have grown increasingly common or gone extinct. Some species, like humans, flourish on all continents while others have been driven to small hidden locations and live in small numbers. == List of Sapient Species == === Known Species: === *Agelum *Antinium *Ape and Monkeys **Jungleclad Gorrillas **Orangutans **Vale Forest Tribes (Extinct) * Beastkin **Bears ** Cats ** Crocodile ** Dogs **Falcon ** Foxes ** Jackals ** Owls ** Rabbits ** Rhinoceros ** Salamander ** Squirrels ** Wolf * Centaurs * Crelers * Cyclopes * Demons * Djinni ** Jinn (Extinct) * Dorhmin * Dragons * Drakes ** Oldblood Drakes ** Scorchlings * Drowned People ** Part-Drowned People * Dryads (extinct) * Dullahans * Dwarves ** Part-Dwarves *Elementals **Air Elementals **Earth Elementals **Flame Elementals **Frost Elementals **Glass Elementals **Mask Elementals **Law Elementals **Lightning Elementals **Swamp Elementals **Water Elementals * Elves (Extinct) ** Half-Elves * Fraerlings * Fae / Faeries **Summer Fae **Spring Fae **Winter Fae / Frost Faeries * Gargoyles * Garuda * Gazers **Half-Gazers * Giants ** Ash Giants **Cloud Giants **Frost Giants ** Half-Giants *** Part-Giants * Gnomes (Extinct) * Gnolls ** Raskghar * Goblins **Hobgoblins ***Fomirelins *Gods **Dead Gods **Demigods **Seamwalkers * Golems * Griffins * Halflings (Extinct) * Harpies * Humans * Kelpies * Kitsune * Kobolds (Extinct) * Lizardfolk **Gorgons **Indishei **Lamia *** Star Lamia **Medusa **Nagas ** Quexal ** Scylla ** Tasgiel * Lucifen * Merfolk * Minotaurs * Orcmen (Extinct) * Ogres * Pheonix * Sariant Lambs * Satyrs * Selphids * Soiretham (Extinct) * Spiderfolk (Extinct) * String People * Titans * Treants * Trolls ** Half-Trolls **Magma Trolls * Undead * Unicorns * Vampires * Wyrms **Lindwyrms (extinct) * Wyverns *Unnamed race of Psychic Crustaceans *Unnamed race of magic Silverfish == Leveling == Most sapient races of innworld have the ability to level though some lack that ability and others are as of yet unconfirmed as having levels, some species have half-descendants that can level desite being unable to level themselves. Below are species that do not have classes/levels === Non Leveling: === * Agelum * Apefolk (Will if they can pass the Trials of Levelling) * Monkeys * Crelers * Cyclopes * Elves * Djinni * Dorhmin * Dragons * Dryads * Elementals * Fae / Faeries * Giants (Half-Giants can) * Gnomes * Golems (Can with the levelling formula) * Lucifen * Merfolk * Ogres * Raskghar * Sariant Lambs (Will if they can pass the Trials of Levelling) * Titans * Trolls (Half-Trolls can) * Treants * Undead (Can with the levelling formula) * Vampires (can steal levels if purified) * Unicorns * Wyrms === Unknown Leveling: === Currently unknown if these sapient races can/could level or not. * Halflings * Spiderfolk * Unnamed race of magic Silverfish * Unnamed race of Psychic Crustaceans == Trivia == *There are beings, like Djinn, that are highly magical and part spirit. Most of these types of creatures are currently enslaved, particularly in Chandrar. *In Izril, the most common interspecies marriage is between Gnolls and Drakes. This is due to their close proximity in the south and is despite the fact that there are many Humans in the north. *Some races are not able to level until a special criterion is met. Vampires, for instance, need to be purified and drink the blood of other leveling creatures to gain levels themselves. *Selphids refer to any species other than them as the Manykind. == References == <references />
