Abebi and Rae are discussing [[Ryoka Griffin|Ryoka]] when they see 'Greg' (actually [[Cara O'Sullivan|Cara]]) chatting with the Wind Runner before leaving with her.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/03/09/8-68/ Chapter 8.68]</ref>

When Ryoka meets the band, Rae reveals she was transported to Innworld in 2021 and that Earth is currently facing a pandemic made worse by conspiracies about the disappearing earthers.<ref name=":3" /> Rae is revealed to still be suffering stage fright when she vomits prior to The Singer of Terrandria's indoor performance in Ailendamus' theater.<ref name=":3" />
