The Silverfang Tribe is a Gnoll tribe led by Akrisa Silverfang. A part of the tribe resides in Liscor and is led by Krshia Silverfang. The tribe's sigil is a silver fang. == Overview == The Silverfang Tribe are great [Traders] and [Miners] known for working and dealing with silver, thanks to claiming old silver mines. Silver is a common motif among the Silverfangs, and is incorporated in traditional jewelry and weaponry, with some gaining silver-related classes such as [Silverarms Warriors]. Silverfang [Warriors] and [Shamans] bear streaks made of a silver dust dye on their fur, which ward away ghosts and other "bad things". == Background == A decade ago, part of the Silverfang tribe immigrated to Liscor under the pretext of facilitating trade, while their true purpose was to acquire information or objects of value to improve their tribe’s standing for the Meeting of the Tribes. Under Krshia’s leadership, the Silverfang Gnolls began pooling their profits and purchasing magical tomes from every shop they could find. They were able to gather many spell books together—most containing Tier 1 to Tier 3 spells—in the hopes that they might offer them as a gift to the tribes. All in the hopes of being able to train their own [Mages]. == Customs == When mourning the loss of a loved one, common practices include feeding herd animals and telling stories of the deceased. The Silverfang Tribe also has a unique mourning custom of making candles inscribed with silver paint, and lighting it on the final day of mourning. When the candle burnt low, it was time to return to work. == Chronology == ==== Volume 2: ==== The Silverfang tribe in Liscor suffered a major setback when Lyonette destroyed Krshia's stall, inadvertently destroying the stored magical books. As a result, Brunkr, nephew of Krshia, sought revenge, leading to a clash in Erin's inn. ==== Volume 4: ==== Ryoka Griffin later comes to relieve the debt owed by Lyonette to the tribe, offering a repayment of even greater value in the form of an ancient spellbook made for teaching magic. ==== Volume 8: ==== During the meeting of the tribes, the Silverfang Tribe plays a large part in the major events. Krshia and those from Liscor bring captured Rakghar to the meeting proving their continued existence and threat to Gnolls as a whole. They also bring the magic book from Rihal, and eventually help to uncover a Drake conspiracy to hide the magical abilities all Gnolls residing in the Great Plains. Satar Silverfang uncovers another great secret involving the true nature of white Gnolls and their status as Doombearers rather than Doombringers, resulting in a split between two sides. == Specialties == The Silverfang Tribe is a mining-merchant tribe specializing in silver. They have tens of thousands of members which makes them a large tribe, but not nearly to the scale of some of the great tribes of the time like Plain's Eye Tribe. The Silverfang Tribe sent a contingent of thousands to settle in Liscor and prepare for the Meeting of the Tribes. This put them in a unique position to have relations with Antinium and Drakes, unlike many of the other Gnoll Tribes. == Members == === Known Members === *Akrisa Silverfang - Chieftain *Beilmark - Senior Guardswoman *Brunkr - Warrior (Deceased) *Cers Silverfang *Cetrule - Chief Shaman (Deceased) *Comrei *Dekava - Hunter-Warrior *Dreshhi - Butcher *Ekirra Silverfang - Kicker *Elirr Fultpar - Beast Trainer *Evink Silverfang *Ishkr - Head Waiter * Jeva Silverfang *Kolm Silverfang *Krshia Silverfang - Merchant and Councilmember of Liscor *Liska *Lv - Runner *Menoa *Orreh - [Silversmith] *Raekea Silversmith - Blacksmith *Rometh - Chief Warrior (Deceased) *Satar Silverfang - Shaman *Serral *Tkrn - City Guard *Tshana - Runner *Utel Silverfang *Volah - Shaman *Vrrow - Longstrider Scout == Trivia == == References == <references />
