Tyrant's Rest is the capital city of Nerrhavia's Fallen. == Layout == Tyrant's Rest is large enough to make First Landing seem small. The city is made of large stone buildings painted in rich colors. The center, marked by the Royal Palace, towers over the rest of the city as it has the tallest buildings, countless stories high. The further away from the center, the less developed the buildings are, until one reaches short building against the city walls. Even then, there are proper houses and walkways overhead. The city has streets so wide that baseball games could be played across some of them, and the air traffic is filled with Garuda, the occasional flying carpet, and rarely a Djinni. Due to its wealth, it has ample fountains, waterworks, and plumbing. == Locations == === Royal Palace: === * Resturgium === Academies: === * The Hundred Thousand Tomes Academy === Coliseums: === * Coliseum of Monarchs - Central Arena * Arena of Change - Lesser Arena * Labyrinth of Challenges - Lesser Arena? === Guilds: === * Runner’s Guild == Resturgium == Resturgium is the name of the royal palace. It was seized from the tyrant Nerrhavia, who partially destroyed it along with herself as a last act of spite. The rebels completely tore down what was left and rebuilt it, so that not even a single brick still belong to the deposed queen. It is considered one of the wonders of Chandrar and the world. It has curved towers and looks as alive as any [Druid]-buildings. Some parts are made out of rare and rich materials, like a frostwood floor in a cooling room. The throne room has multiple thrones, which are enchanted with different effects. The Throne of Logic is used when the Court of Steel convenes, and the Seat of Words grants the monarch hearing over the entire royal court and its gossips. The royal court is called the Court of Silk, where the nobility of Nerrhavia mingle. It is large and has multiple layers. The private chambers of the monarch are located in the center of the palace, and is large enough to play a football game inside. Secret passages litter the palace. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Queen Yisame has a secret reading room within which to indulge in her hobby, hidden behind three decoy rooms consisting of a sex dungeon, a drug den, and finally a room with a large enchanted chess board and knitting corner. These were built in the royal secret passageway, created by previous monarchs for their own secrets and indulgences. == Nerrhavia's Tomb == Nerrhavia's tomb is located beneath the city's sewers, and below the palace's vaults, armory, and treasury. It used to be a shrine to her ego before being repurposed into her tomb. The passage to the tomb stretches for hundreds of feet down a staircase and has reliefs of a nation destroyed by Nerrhavia carved into the walls. Armed protectors guard the tomb against any unauthorized intruders. The [Crypt Guardian] of the tomb is a hereditary post. Many of the traps and spells are aimed inward as well as outward. The tomb proper is small, but even enchanted weapons could not fully destroy the place, so the gravesite was erected as a memorial and a prison for her remains and her remaining artifacts not destroyed. The grave is shaped like a sarcophagus, and tapestries hang from the walls. Those tapestries are Nerrhavia's contracts, made of various materials and inscribed in several ways, such as gold or blood. Notable contracts include a pact with Roshal written on a half-Giant's face and tongue, and a mutual-defense pact with Zeres. New contracts made by Nerrhavia appear in the tomb. == Trivia == == References == <references />
