==Background== Velzi was born on Chandrar and grew up on the streets. When he was nine years old, he experimented with magical molds and other elements that grew around his home city. By the age of fourteen, he turned lead into gold. He became an [Alchemist]'s apprentice and levelled from the practice, as it was popular at the time. Following the terrible recession caused by the overabundance of alchemically-created gold, he would seek out many forms of knowledge. He studied the body, how potions interacted with it, and divined more secrets from that. He became a [Sage], and was capable of prolonging the body and bottling a Skill. Possibly between 5,000 and 10,000 years ago, Velzimri outmatched his rivals when he created Sage's grass, combining herbology with magical powers worthy of an [Archmage]. His invention made him unimaginably rich, allowing him to purchase the secrets of immortality from Drath and Dragons. He grew wealthier and more powerful over six hundred years. But because of his creation, he was forced into hiding from monsters and treasure seekers. He eventually died in his hidden home from being stabbed in the back several dozen times by an [Assassin] dispatched to end his monopoly on Sage's Grass.
