Once he arrived, Wer began stalking Mrsha and trying to convince her to come with him. He evaded detection from the [[Brotherhood of Serendipitous Meetings]], which only made them more suspicious. When the [[Plain’s Eye Tribe|Plain's Eye]] Doomslayers arrived, he went to warn the people in the [[The Wandering Inn|Inn]].<ref name=":3">[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/06/12/8-27/ Chapter 8.27]</ref>

He joined in the defence against [[Belavierr Donamia|Belavierr]], intercepting one of her high-tier spells. During the chaos of the fighting, he grabbed Mrsha and escaped with her. While travelling, he told her his about his capabilities, where they're going, and demonstrated some of his luck manipulation.<ref name=":0" />

He used his power more and more while avoiding pursuit by Gnolls and ran a luck deficit. They stopped by an Inn and gambled with Mrsha to lessen his burden. The Doomslayers led by [[Merish]] arrived just as he got food poisoning.
