Appearance[edit | edit source]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Abelesque has a cool head and other important leadership qualities.[3][2] She is trusted to lead a group of bandits.[2]

Background[edit | edit source]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

Abelesque leads one of Savere's bandit groups to Nehrs on a mission to sustainably rob the town. Luaar, one of the village children, reveals that Ceria is present in the town and claims she will protect them. Now revealed, Ceria tries to scare the bandits off with [Fireball] only to discover her spell is particularly weak as a result of her ice affinity.

Abelesque refuses to leave after Ceria escalates the situation by almost stabbing her with an [Ice Spike]. She sends a message to the Siren of Savere via scoll. When the dangersenses of the bandit group go off and they see the swarm of crelers approaching, the bandit group flees. Abel returns to Nehrs in the company of the Siren of Savere who successfully slays the Adult Creler Ceria had immobilized.[2] After the successful defeat of the monsters, she is ordered to complete the cleanup of the town.[2]

She eats lunch with Ceria, Omusc, and other bantis in Runsblud.[1] Abel is also present at another meal when a [Thief] attempts to steal the Putrid One's Circlet from Ceria's head.[4]

When the Siren of Savere's army is on the march, Abel participates in a card game with Omusc, Ceria, and others. She is revealed to have a terrible poker face and playing her is "like stealing from a baby."[3]

Quotes[edit | edit source]

  • To Nerhs' villigers:
    • The first bastard who fires an arrow we will kill! Don’t be stupid, you lot!
    • “Protection? No, we’re robbing you. Just…what’s the word? Economically. Sustainable robbing.”
    • “No. This is a robbery. Protection implies we have to protect you, and the boss would hate that. See—there’s a fine distinction. We run off competitors who’d shake you down because we’ll lose our money if you’re having to pay off multiple groups. But we’re not protecting you from monster attacks or anything. Robbery. If you report it to the Adventurer’s Guild, please say ‘robbery’.”
  • (To Ceria) “We’re civilized bandits. For instance, we use cutlery.”
