Veltras Family

From The Wandering Inn Wiki
(Redirected from Booru:Veltras)

The Veltras Family are one of the Five Families of Izril.

The Veltras’s sigil consist of a tree with a bow and lance placed against, leaning across the trunk. More ornate versions of the sigil included having a tiny, tree-like figure half-hidden behind the tree and a Unicorn resting on the grass.[1]

Background edit edit source

The Veltras family are one of the Five Families that came from Terandria—fleeing[2] from Terandria, to be exact and together with them are the first humans to ever settle on Izril.

House Veltras laid claim to the Vale Forest. The ancient House Veltras communed with the Great Forests of northern Izril, and created a Skill that allowed them to negotiate with the World Trees in the Congress of Root and Steel. The arguments with the stubborn Great Trees' avatars may have influenced the family's notorious hard-headedness.[3] Though eventually, they cut down the Great Trees and helped drive the Treants into the sea.[4]

The Veltras family is still close to nature at its core. They have rural connections and respect [Druids].[5] Tyrion Veltras is currently one of the foremost scions of the Five Families in Northern Izril.

Finances edit edit source

House Veltras is the second-poorest of the Five Families, above House El, due to the funds they allocate to their military. The remaining wealth is spread out, as the branch families focus on their holdings.[6]

History edit edit source

The Veltras family were considered to be excellent at beast-taming and rulers of the wild for most of history, before slowly turning to war with time. Because of the wild lands owned by the Veltras, they become strong fighters and good [Generals], although poor at leading men.[7]

The current head of the Veltras family, Tyrion Veltras, is considered one of the five most powerful [Lords] in the world, and rumored to be the best [Lord] in personal combat.[8]
