Cericel

From The Wandering Inn Wiki

Cericel are one of the more dreaded nesting-type monsters. They travel in packs.[1]

Overview[edit | edit source]

They are generally called ‘Cericel’, but depending on which variant they grow into, you append ‘Stalker’, or ‘Warrior’, or so on.[1]

They have a humanoid-ish, body like a Ghoul, or other stringy, tough monsters, but with scales, two long arms with claws, clawed feet, a tail, and their most unique aspect, a mouth not full of teeth but a sucker-type mouth with weird tendril-tongues.[1]

These rapid-moving predators are just smart enough to use weapons, but they prefer their claws. They move sluggishly under daylight, but like the wind at night, and despite squatting a lot, they can jump ten feet into the air. Their weird mouths are used to drain their victims, which causes their scaly-exteriors to slough off as they shed and grow into different variants. If not for Crelers, they might be one of the more dreaded nesting-type monsters around as the really bad variants grow wings or get big.[1]

Variants[edit | edit source]

As mentioned above, depending on which variant they grow into, they become into a ‘Stalker’, ‘Warrior’, and so on.

Cericel Stalker[edit | edit source]

A variant that is a Silver-ranked threat. They have the standard appearance as mentioned above.[1]

Cericel Warrior[edit | edit source]

Cericel ???[edit | edit source]

Cericel ???[edit | edit source]

A variant that got big.[1]

Cericel Fangbeast[edit | edit source]

Scourgequeen[edit | edit source]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

Colthei became a Named-rank adventurer after he drove off an alpha pack of a dozen Cericel Fangbeast and three times as many underlings. The rest of his team, Beatist's Brawlers, all perished in what was suspected to be the first minute of combat, but Colthei kept fighting and killing the Cericel until they fled.[2]

Cericel make their introduction when a pack of Cericel Stalkers attack Cellidel. They jumped right over the walls and rampaged into the city, until they ran right into the apartment complex where Relc was sleeping. As they were attacking the apartment-dwellers, Sellme painted metal doors to save a group of kids, and Relc woke up and started fighting them. By the time the Watch and two Silver-rank adventurers came to help corner the rest, Relc killed over ten Cericel, and the rest were all on the run from him.[1]
