Corbbin is a half-Elf and the [Helmsman]-[Storm Sailor] of the Waterlily.

Chronology

Corbbin was bringing a ship full of Terandrian Half-Elf settlers to Izril's new lands. When the Waterlily was skirting the Hivelands, they encountered Irurx. As they poured on speed to get away, the Waterlily's sister ship, The Watery Roots, was attacked by insects and everyone on board was slaughtered. When Irurx began launching alchemical weapons, the crew of the Waterlily loaded the passengers into lifeboats and turned the Waterlily, aiming to ram Shifthold and kill Irurx.

Before they could ram Shifthold, Gaoelos spied an Antinium ship in the path of Shifthold. Wrymvr the Deathless flew down the coastland and attacked Shifthold to protect the Antinium ship. Irurx retreated from Wrymvr, who then allowed the Half-Elf passengers to row back to the Waterlily and the Waterlily to continue her journey to the new lands.
