Emessa likes working for Pelt and suffers him longer than any other apprentice he had before is that it is easy as she does not have to worry about the quality of her blades, because he would tell her if the metal had any imperfections she would not be able to spot herself.^[3] This might be the reason why she is afraid of becoming a full-fledged Smith^[2], which is also reflected in her class still being [Apprentice] despite being above Level 30.^[4]
