The Fourth Mind, referred to as Inconsolable, is one of the leaders of the Selphids, and focuses on warfare and Selphid interests.

Chronology[edit | edit source]
Inconsolable focused on the Dyed Lands after it spread. It showed Geneva population maps to find patterns of where or why the Wasting occurred. It planned expeditions into the Dyed Lands after a link between it and curing the Wasting was discovered. Geneva also wanted it to provide humanitarian relief to refugees displaced by the Dyed Lands, but it refused as it did not align with the Minds' goals, and made her forget the conversation and return to work.[1]
During the vote to release Geneva to Niers, it voted to delay.[2]When Contradiction learned that Geneva's mind was altered, Inconsolable and the other Minds subdued it after 9 hours of fighting, forcing it to comply.
When the Minds tried to merge together into a supermind, Contradiction revealed it had eaten the flesh of A'ctelios Salash, and the Minds were consumed by a ravenous hunger and attacked everyone in the Gathering Citadel. The Forgotten Wing Company and Tallguard held the devouring Selphid mass back until the Gathering Citadel was destroyed by various world powers.[1]
