Isthekenous is a god and the creator of The Grand Design of Isthekenous
Appearance[edit | edit source]
In human form he wore spectacles and had an unshaven beard with fingertips stained in ink.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Not much has been revealed about Isthekenous, as he died long ago, but he was described to be "honest to a fault,[1] and understood the nature of deed.[2] Ivolethe had once recalled him to be "oft-annoying, frantically energized" when talking about books.[3]
History[edit | edit source]
Isthekenous was a god who survived the deaths of multiple pantheons.[4] Millennia ago, he joined a gathering of other gods, spearheading the creation of Innworld and the project of producing a world of mortals with the power of champions, and laid much of the groundwork for it.[5] To that end, Isthekenous created the Grand Design and among other things, he personally designed the rules of the [Hero] class.[6]
However, Isthekenous was murdered and eaten by the other gods before his work was finished.[4] They proceeded to activate it during the God War. He's considered so completely dead that saying his name will not give him power and revive him, unlike the other Dead Gods.[7] His physical body was left in his administrator's room within the Grand Design. There were twenty weapons buried in his back, and the Grand Design deduced that he was likely murdered by people he had invited into his workspace.[8]
