The Strygian Empire was an empire that existed in Izril but fell a long time ago.

At some point the empire fell, resulting in a quieter period of relative peace. Chronists reported that even so, Undead like Ghouls and Wraiths still rised from their graves. This was caused by some curse of the Untombed One.
Knowledge of this long-lost Empire still exists in form of a book in Magnolia Reinhart's possession. Aside from a passage that Ryoka read, not much is known about this Empire.[1]
