The Last Tide is a spin-off of The Wandering Inn series, and tells the story of Solca Vis, a young woman from the Philippines who was suddenly teleported to a world with classes, levels, and Skills. But rather than landing near any nation or continent, she finds herself at the edge of the world.

While Pirateaba was writing Volume 4 or 5 of The Wandering Inn, they were asked by a reader if they were interested in doing a comic for the series.[1] After looking into it, they secretly wrote the story of Solca Vis between their regular chapter releases.[2]
The Last Tide is intended to be an ongoing story, beginning with the first half of Book One (1.00 F) being released in two parts. The first installment was set to arrive in digital format during the summer of 2020, and the second part will be published as a physical book via Kickstarter. After that, Book Two (1.01 F) is then planned to be published in "another very pretty hardcover book", but it is all dependent on how many copies are sold.[1][2]
Book One[edit | edit source]
The first part of Book One was announced last January 22, 2020.[3] It was available for purchase starting August 10, 2020, and a preview with the first 10 pages were included if you bought a copy of Fae and Fare on Audible.[4] On July 25, 2021, it was announced that a Kickstarter campaign will be launched on August 24, 2021 for the full comic and physical version.[5] The campaign ended on September 15, 2021 and successfully raised CA$ 85,530 out of its CA$ 26,000 goal.[6]
Book Two[edit | edit source]
On June 18, 2022, Pirateaba disclosed that they were wrapping up the writing for the second part of The Last Tide.[7] A few days later, on June 28, 2022, Pirateaba announced they had successfully finished writing the prose, which contained 46,000 words.[8]
