Background
Vrek was a warlord during the Age of Broken Thrones, when kingdoms warred. He was killed by the forces of Samal. His body was enterred in the Royal Tomb beneath the Palace of Shadows.
Chronology

His body was reanimated as a Revenant, but without his soul and consumed by a desire to kill the living. He fought the Veteran Hunters of the Hunter's Guild and was pushed back, but was still considered a dangerous threat to be delt with due to the Upgrade Skills he could use on the other undead. Vrek was destroyed when the Landsreight and king Itreimedes learned of the undead crisis and came to reinforce the Hunters.
