The Wild Wastes Tribe is one of the most well-known Gnoll tribes.

The Wild Wastes Tribe is an old and vast tribe.[1] They are traditional but do not especially care about it, and they are renowned for their battle prowess. They train [Barbarians] and are the theoretical basis of the 'savage Gnolls' stereotype that Drakes hold, though they are actually quite civilized. They roam the far northeast of Liscor, along the High Passes.[2]
They are either poor, or have little gold to spend. Their warriors do not earn much when not doing mercenary work.[2]
They don't beat up cubs, but they do beat up young warriors as an initiation ritual. At sixteen, they make them fight a cow,[3] and theirs are extra ornery.

They are known for producing [Barbarians] and [Berserkers], as well as training them. [Berserkers] of other races come to them to learn to control their rage. They get hired as [Mercenaries].
They keep especially ornery cows that produce savoury and buttery milk. They also train new warriors by having them fight those cows barehanded.[5]
