Wisps

From The Wandering Inn Wiki

Wisps are a type of spectral undead.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Wisps resemble people made of mist. Unlike ghosts, they are not the souls of lucid people, but rather echoes and reflections of the dead made of frozen air particles. They are somewhat mindless, roaming around and attacking people, acting on their disjointed memories. They are rarer and weaker than zombies, and were known to form in areas with death magic or large amount of casualties.[1]

Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Wisps are the weakest type of spectral undead. They are incorporeal, able to fly and phase through solid objects. While they aren't very deadly, they are freezing cold to the touch, which can cause forstbite and with repeated exposure and create ice.

With time, Wisps can gather into more dangerous spectral undead.[1]

Weaknesses[edit | edit source]

Aside from ghost killing magic like [Silverglow Enchantment] and objects and materials that can harm ghosts such as truegold and silver, they are vulnerable to heat, light magic, and powerful spells. Auras and Witchcraft are also effective. Other magical weapons will only inflict a bit of damage.[1]

Uses[edit | edit source]

When slain, Wisps leave a powdery residue of Wisp Dust behind.
