Cenidau is known for its cold and is often noted as a location that people use to refer to the far north. It is home to mighty cliffs and hardy people. There are also polar bears larger than [[Mothbears]] native to the kingdom.<ref name=":0">[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/09/21/9-16-r/ Chapter 9.16 R]</ref>

The nobility of Cenidau is known as  Hearthlords.

Cenidau has a knight order called the Sothbound. Members are fur-armored and bring the cold with them. They are, among other things, specialized in slaying undead, as corpses can last a long time in the icy north,<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/06/06/8-26-fk/ Chapter 8.26 FK]</ref> and rise as tougher elemental variants due to the climate.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2023/04/12/9-41-pt-2/ Chapter 9.41 (Pt. 2)]</ref> The knighthood has fewer members than most orders in the south.<ref name=":0" /> Cenidau has thousands of shieldmaidens living there who have recently had their class Changed to shieldmaid.
