Cenidau

From The Wandering Inn Wiki

Cenidau, also called the Kingdon of Tundras, is a cold kingdom located in the north of Terandria.

Overview edit edit source

Cenidau is known for its cold and is often noted as a location that people use to refer to the far north. The land is so cold that even magic becomes cold and heating spells will eventually fail if left out. It is home to mighty cliffs and hardy people, and structures are built out of blocks of ice.[1] There are polar bears larger than Mothbears native to the kingdom.[2]

The nobility of Cenidau is known as Hearthlords.

Cenidau has a knight order called the Sothbound. Members are fur-armored and bring the cold with them. They are, among other things, specialized in slaying undead, as corpses can last a long time in the icy north,[3] and rise as tougher elemental variants due to the climate.[4] The knighthood has fewer members than most orders in the south.[2] Cenidau has thousands of shieldmaidens living there who have recently had their class Changed to shieldmaid.

Locations edit edit source

  • Frost Courts[5]
  • Loarfress - region[1]
  • Tirfriv - city[1]

Cenidau was occasionally referenced previously, but the first real look at their people came when Calanfer called a meeting of many Terandrian nations after a large battle against Ailendamus.[2]

  • There are multiple ideas named after Cenidau though it is unknown if they were created there or if inspiration was drawn from the location. For instance, Cenidau Frostsip is the name of an ingredient in a drink,[8] and [Cenidau's Complete Chill] is a powerful cold based spell.[9]
  • [Lesser Frost Resistance] is a common first Skill in Cenidau.[1]
