== Overview == Death Zones refers to places so lethal that even the survival of Named-rank Adventurers cannot be guaranteed if they enter β let alone clearing or overcoming the challenges within. There are a number of these places in every part of the world. Some are simply regions of ecological or magical damage, like the [[Dyed Lands]] or the [[Bloodfields]], still valuable but inherently risky and without known treasure waiting to be seized. Other locations are lairs, like (formerly) the Krakenβs Pass. Some are [[dungeons]]: magical relics, malevolent dungeons designed to slaughter, places where something died or waits.<ref name=":8.18 H">[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/04/25/8-18-h/ Chapter 8.18 H]</ref>
