== Synopsis ==
At [[Erin Solstice|Erin]]’s [[The Wandering Inn|inn]] [[Bird]] and [[Bevussa Slenderscale|Bevussa]] discuss birds. As she gets to know Bird, and recognises he is not entirely unlike a child, she becomes amenable to the trade Bird is proposing: the bunch of goose feathers, taken from his pillows, for a single of ''her'' feathers. Of particular note is that Bevussa is able convince Bird that she isn’t, in fact, a bird, and [[Garuda]] in general aren’t either. She points out that were she a bird, she’d eat ants, and Bird does, despite his insistence on being [[Antinium]], looks quite like an ant.
