A quiet and timid individual, Aiko is also notably brave. She is willing to confront situations that make her uncomfortable or scare others, such as the yellow rivers patients and the blood in the birthing room. She typically motivates herself to confront these situations by believing that it's her job to be in those situations.

Background

Aiko is fond of Luan, to the point that other U.N. members believe that she is interested in a relationship with him, despite knowing of Luan's family on Earth. When the other UN leaders voice this concern, Aika acknowledges they are close, but not in that way. Instead, she raises the issue that Earthers seem unnaturally forgetful of their families and friends back on Earth.
