Caroline is an Earther from Australia, that was teleported to Baleros with Daly, Ken and Luan group, before mysteriously disappearing.[1] It is later revealed that she had been abducted before being rescued and taken to Wistram Academy. She is currently writing romance stories under the alias "Heartslayi."

Caroline was fairly innovative, recognizing the potential of selling romance novels in a world of little to no recreational reading material. However, she could be embarrassed by her own content.

Caroline is from Australia. She always wanted to be a romance author and frequently wrote fan fiction, some of it about popular manga.
Chronology[edit | edit source]
Caroline was teleported to Baleros in Daly's group of Earthers from Melbourne's airport. She joined the Gravetender's Fist suppression company until after the battle between the Razorshard Armor Company and the Roving Arrow Company , when she joined the United Nations company when it first formed.
Wanting to help with the United Nations company's money troubles, Caroline proposed to Ken about writing erotica, recognizing the potential popularity of such material. Later that night she went for a walk, and was abducted, presumably by [Slavers]. She was rescued by a Wistram [Mage] and taken to Wistram. Taking advice from Elena, she refused to share information about the Earthers she was with, though was happy to share other stories.[2]
Caroline is mentioned in Blackmage's message to Joseph.[3]
At some point, under the pen name "Heartslayi," she began selling her romantic fiction to magazines. After the raid on the Village of the Dead, she wrote a fictional and somewhat inaccurate interpretation of the Horns of Hammerad's "death."[4]
Caroline began writing a story called The [Cook] and the Centaur, based on Leon's recollection of Imani and Palt. She has also been receiving angry letters from a fan named 'Sandquen,' which she was very annoyed about.[2]
