Demas Metal

From The Wandering Inn Wiki

Demas Metal is a new magical alloy produced by the Demas Metal Tribe.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Demas Metal is clearly magical in nature. It is colored cloudy blue to violet depending on the weather and the position of the moons.

Properties[edit | edit source]

The composition of Demas Metal includes Orichalcum ore and some sort of sea-stone. It can be made in greater quantity than Adamantium, Mithril, or Orichalcum alloy items.

It's stronger and lighter than steel, and comparable to Mithril while being a bit heavier,[1] but lacks the elasticity to make bows out of it.[2] It leaves an afterimage when striking with it.

It possesses a special ability, in which any liquid that comes into contact with it will form a second coating on top, giving weapons a longer reach and second edge, and making armour thicker. It is comparable to a Liquidtouch Enchantment, but can do this unenchanted.[1] It also works with fire, and electricity for a few seconds.[3]

History[edit | edit source]

Demas Metal was created by Mrell, a Gnoll that had been banished from the Stone Spears Tribe. He named the metal after his late master, the exiled Dwarf [Smelter] Demastel, who had passed away the year before. He used this metal to establish his own tribe, named the Demas Metal Tribe.
