She is a City-Gnoll born and raised in Pallass. Over the years she became the city's highest level [Healer].

Chronology

Healer Demerra was first introduced taking care of Chaldion after he had a worrying fall early in Volume 7. She was able to help nurse him back to relative health, but despite her talents she had to contend with old age which proved difficult.

Demerra also made a brief appearance later during the incident of the Yellow River's Virus getting a vaccine. Demerra claimed that her homeopathic healing crystals would be able to help halt the virus to Wistram's crystals. Soon after though, Chaldion counteracted this advice by forcing her to follow the Doctor's orders using penicillin instead.
