Domehead is a War Golem crafted by Femithain, and the first Sentience-class Golem of the current era.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Domehead is named after his signature clear crystal dome for a head, topaz-colored after he was repaired,[1] with command crystals visible inside. He has a 10-foot tall humanoid armored body coated in a bronze-steel alloy.[2]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

Volume 7[edit | edit source]

Domehead was created as the state of Dellva's representative in the Test of Mirrhen. When he was first activated and tested, Nsiia provided advice on how to improve his combat techniques. At the Testing, he first fought Ziozem's golem, and advanced to face Hammera, the previous year's champion. He nearly fell when the shaft of his axe broke, but started fighting unarmed by copying Nsiia and Dellic with his backup routines, and kept copying them during the match. He triumphed and became the new Testing champion.[2]

Volume 8[edit | edit source]

When Ksmvr was teleported to Illivere and destroyed the golem champions in a gladiatorial arena, the furious [Golem Artificers] sent forth Domehead to hurt him in retribution. Ksmvr managed to damage his primary command spells, but Domehead kept fighting with his backup commands, pushing Ksmvr to his limits. Because of his damaged commads, Domehead could no longer here the recall orders, and instead listened to the crowd's order to kill Ksmvr. Domehead ultimately gained the upper hand, but Nsiia interposed herself between them. When Domehead still tried to finish off Ksmvr, she destroyed his secondary command crystals with his axe, putting him out of commission.[3]

Domehead was repaired and upgraded. He encountered Ksmvr in the arena once again as he went there to retrieve the paladin sword he hid. Afterwards, he left Illivere to follow Ksmvr and Nsiia.[1] Both of them taught Domehead important lessons.

When Illivere's army tried to attack Tiqr's army, Domehead realised that Illivere was tracking Tiqr due to tracking artifacts attached to Yinah. He disobeyed Nsiia's commands to stay in the back and out of fighting with the [Archers] and [Mages], and secretly left with Yinah to mislead Illivere's army. He removed the tracking gemstone and tried to singlehandedly hold Illivere's army back, who hesitated to attack him due to his sentient nature. He managed to escape them. [4]

Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Supplementary Command Crystals[edit | edit source]

Domehead possesses two sets of command matrices, in his chest and in his reinforced dome. This gives him more routines to use and a redundant backup, allowing him to keep fighting even if he suffers a great deal of damage in one of the command areas.[2]

Adaptiveness[edit | edit source]

Domehead had a copy-order installed in some of his black command crystals, to learn new combat routines. Those orders were meant to be erased later, but Domehead achieved Sentient status and became capable of learning on his own. He moves fluidly as a result.[2]

Enchantments[edit | edit source]

Domehead was upgraded from a Testing golem into one that Illivere poured its resources into. His armor is enchanted, and he possesses many different routines, such as combat, patrol, guarding, and counter-spy.[1]

Weaknesses[edit | edit source]

Domehead's joints do not allow him to kick.[2]

Possessions[edit | edit source]

  • Force Axe: A glowing deadly enchanted battleaxe that could send foes flying.[1]

Femithain[edit | edit source]

While Femithain is his creator, caretaker and technically father, Domehead still prefers to go to Nsiia then over at him, even after she had hurt him.
