Knowing he was right, she remembers that half an hour ago he had taken off his Magical Pendant, and goes retrieve it. She then shown it to him as it was the proof of their affair, and triumphant at the sudden fear on his face, and anger.

After he left, instead of immediately have someone deliver the pendant, she took some time for her grief, which cost her, as Lord Bein had hired [Thieves] to steal back his pendant. Faced with that, and knowing that her security couldn’t withstand a high-level attempt for long, she made a public announcement about her relationship with Lord Bein, and that she had proof of it. She then hired the Courier, Lacel the Leaper, to deliver it to Lady Dealia.

Unfortunately for her and Lacel, the Assassin’s Guild, who had turned against Magnolia, had accepted Lord Bein bounty on the pendant, and to show that now they will go after Runners as well, went to Lacel and broke his legs.[1]

With now everyone afraid of the Assassin’s Guild going after anyone who tries to deliver the pendant, Hetessana raised the price in the hope that someone delivered the pendant before Lord Bein retrieved it. Fortunately for her, Guildmistress Mihaela Godfrey would send three of her best Couriers in Izril, which are HawkTritel and Salamani, to make the delivery.

They would be successful, and Lady Dealia would confirm that Lady Hetessana had told the truth about Lord Bein being unfaithful.[2]
