First Appearance

Chapter 9.21

Larracel Delais, also known as Larracel the Haven, is a former Named-rank [Wizard]. She currently runs The Adventurer's Haven and is the highest-leveled [Innkeeper] in Izril.

Appearance edit edit source

She is a short, old woman with black skin, bright blue eyes and her hair streaked with gray.[1] She has a scar on her arm from a claw strike suffered in her adventuring days.[2]

Personality edit edit source

Despite The Adventurer's Haven's reputation as one of the most famous inns in Izril, renowned for its extravagant activities (and prices), Larracel is somewhat retiring and unobtruse, prefers to keep out of the spotlight in favor of installing her second-in-command, Barnethei, as the face of the inn. Behind the scenes, Larra is a warm-hearted and humble person. She is highly protective of her regulars and is obsessed with making enough of a profit towards creating a paradise for them to stay and hopefully prevent them dying to monsters someday. However, she can be too indulging when it comes to her friends, such when she refused to censure Deniusth for killing adventurers who stole from Udatron's laboratory.

Background edit edit source

Larracel was once a Named-Rank adventurer, capable of casting a spell to create a safe space in the middle of a dungeon. After reaching Level 40 in her [Wizard] class, she retired and became an [Innkeeper].[1]

Quotes edit edit source

  • (To Mrsha) “I’ve seen a lot of pranksters like you, young woman. If you want to start a war, just don’t complain about how it ends.”
  • (To Barnethei) “She’s perfectly friendly—but she’s a monster. She hit Level 40 so fast no one saw her coming. Where did she come from? That was deliberate as well.”
  • (To Barnethei) “…Valeterisa won’t walk off with any books. I have changed the law. No stealing the inn’s property. Do you need me to change it to violence?”
