Appearance

A native Drathian, Pekona has physical characteristics reminiscent of East Asian peoples from Earth. She has black hair, and her features resembles that of Ryoka's, although her skin tone is a shade darker, and is "shorter by a head" in height. As of the raid on the Village of the Dead, she is missing a hand.

Personality

Pekona is not very talkative, mainly because her fluency in the common tongue isn't as great as other people's. She becomes even more reticent after her confidence in her blade-wielding abilities is shaken after the Village of the Dead raid and the Trial of Blades. Having beheld true legends of swordmanship in the [Dragonbane Swordlegend] and Zeladona Ischen, she has become increasingly self-critical, and often claims that she is a "disgrace." Despite that, after meeting the latter, Pekona's drive to improve has intensified, training obsessively with her blade and continuing as an adventurer, even with an arm missing.

Background

Pekona was born and raised in a village in the Drath Archipelago. She learned to wield a sword at the local dojo. Her grandfather sold a jar of cultivation reagents that he aged all his life so that Pekona could buy her blades. She wasn't interested in becoming a [Cultivator] or [Slayer], preferring to only master the sword, so she left Drath.

Two years ago, she became a member of Vuliel Drae.
