Terras is one of the factions within Wistram Academy. Its symbol is of a planet with a tree sprouting from it and magical paraphilia hanging from the branches.[1]
Background and Policies[edit | edit source]
The Terras faction is a new political faction formed by ‘Eldavin’ together with Valeterisa.[2]
The faction name (which supposedly has no relation to anyone’s name), was ostensibly one based around the old name of Earth; Terra. Also, of the word in the old language; Earth / Grounded. A name which is sensible and pragmatic, as it spoke to the new world now entering this one.[2]
Their symbol, which is a message for the future, looks like a Venn diagram from afar, but if looked from closer, they aren’t of two circles, but two worlds, overlapping.[3]
Eldavin is willing to ‘steal’ members of other factions (even if some would be spies), as many would come for what he offered. The goal was to have a voice in Wistram’s decisions, make allies, and ‘get’ Earthers. But unbeknownst to others, those goals were to rise the faction to the level upon which it could carefully and in a subtle way, effect change within Wistram for the rest of the world's benefit.[2]
The Terras faction under Eldavin quickly went from no council seats to holding a majority[4] which allows them to make many decisions in Wistram without dealing with other faction's politics.
