It looks like an orb that is two-thirds the size of a football. With its psychic abilities, others see it as an ordinary mallard with a green head and speckled dark wings.

By its own admittance, the Duck is unintelligent, being only skilled at picking locks. Due to having a smaller number of Selphids, it is more individualistic, using the pronoun "I" instead of "we." The Duck is a thrill-seeker, and immerses itself in its duck persona, quacking frequently and allowing others to pet and feed it. It enjoys singing.

The Mind that is the Duck comprises of eighteen Selphids with [Rogue] and [Psychic] classes. It is part of the Named-rank team called Fowl Play, masquerading as a mascot and secretly being responsible for their success.[1]

The Duck was sent by the Minds to reach out to the Forgotten Wing Company in order to make amends following the destruction of a Gathering Citadel.[2] It saved Beth from being abducted by Maelstrom’s Howling in Soxet, and accompanied her to Elvallian and offered his services to the Forgotten Wing Company, and would leave if it was unwanted.[1]

Thanks to its small size, the Duck is the weakest of the Minds. Nonetheless, its telekinesis is powerful enough to render combatants unconscious and snap a thrown spear midair. Through telepathy, the Duck can alter the perceptions of nearby people to make itself look like a normal duck.

The Duck is excellent at opening locks and finding traps. It also blinds monsters and sets traps while adventuring. It is naturally stealthy as it leaves no footprints nor breathes normally. He is able to match Foliana as a [Rogue] with its combined expertise.
