The Last Tide is a place at the edge of the Innworld. For the comic book series of the same name, please check The Last Tide (series).

Overview[edit | edit source]

“The Last Tide calls all ships. It doesn’t let them go. Sail too far and it will get you. Always. Always. And no one comes back. You should remember! Everyone knows! Everyone!”[2]

The waters near the Last Tide are calm and dead, but as you move further, the ocean's current shifts and begins to flow in one direction. Past a certain point, the tide gains momentum until it is stronger than any riptide or whirlpool, and pulls an ocean's worth of water towards a seemingly endless black void, marking the end of the world.[2]

Inhabitants[edit | edit source]

“Beyond the edge of the world they climb, those who have never seen the sun’s shine. In the abyssal depths they dream. Those who walk the world’s seam.”[2]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The inhabitants of the Innworld believe that their world is flat because you can sail right off the edge of the world.[3]
  • According to the song Great Plains Sing, there is a Gnoll called Garlen the Explorer who went over The Last Tide.[4]
