Chapter 2.23

Troydel, or Troy, is an Earther from Greece, who was teleported to Innworld. For a time, he and a few other Earthers were under Lady Magnolia's care before being sent to The Wandering Inn by Ryoka Griffin.

Appearance edit edit source

Personality edit edit source

Originally, Troy was a young, uncertain Earther who had trouble finding his footing after being transported to another world. After failing to make it as an adventurer, he and the other Earthers drifted into complacency, living largely off Lady Magnolia’s protection and resources.[1] After being brought to The Wandering Inn by Ryoka, he and Leon remained unable to discover a hobby or ambition to make their own. Lacking direction and confidence, they turned to an easy solution—selling Earth secrets to Pallass for gold.[2] However, while Leon remained aimless, Troy joined Pallass under its Engineering Guild, trying—often awkwardly—to contribute ideas they might build.[3]

Background edit edit source

He and his group were international students visiting the United States. They were at the Chicago airport when they were teleported to Innworld. He and 5 others appeared in Invrisil in the middle of nowhere, then got arrested by soldiers, until Lady Magnolia arrived and got them out of prison and took them at her home.[4]

Chronology edit edit source

Volume 7 edit edit source

After leaving Magnolia's care he and the Earthers are sent to the Wandering Inn by Ryoka Griffin. They get stuck in Invrisil when they run out of coin due to poor management, but get to the Wandering Inn anyway when the Portal Door is set up by the Horns of Hammerad.[5] Excited by the wide availability of familiar Earth food, they accidentally rack up a large dinner bill which they are unable to pay. Although Erin agrees to take them in, they are largely regarded as “useless” by the rest of the inn’s family and guests. While other Earthers begin to find their callings, Troy and Leon instead choose to sell Earther secrets to Grimalkin—a decision that earns them a beating from Ryoka and drops them to rock bottom in The Wandering Inn’s Earther hierarchy.[6] However, Troy is interested in Pallass, and gives tips to Felkhr about flying.[7]
