Viltach is recently occupied a lot with the war that brews between Ailendamus and the Dawn Concordat. Viltach, ever the pragmatist, is betting on the bigger and war-proven Ailendamus, and also fosters a personal relationship with [King] Itorin II. While Ailendamus is the aggressor in this war, Viltach tries to keep Wistram on a path of neutrality which would deprive the Dawn Concordat of a possible magical intervention.[3]
