Garry is an Individual Antinium [Chef] belonging to the Free Hive in Liscor and the owner of Garry's Antinium Edibles. He was a part of Erin's Chess Club.

Appearance

He's slightly bigger than a regular Worker and wears a slightly stained apron around his front as well as a chef's hat later on.

Personality

Garry is hard to ruffle and is very supportive verbally to others. He is also protective over his fellow Individual Antinium but since working mostly alone for the Free Queen he has become more withdrawn and timid towards others. However, he is kind, displayed when he saved two Flying Antinium from experimental evisceration to become his assistants. He further develops his charitable side after opening his shop Antinium Edibles, charging entire meals for only a copper for impoverished Liscorians.

Garry is exceptionally creative when it comes to cooking, although he has a tendency to put bugs in most of his dishes.

Background

Before he selected his name, Garry was one of the Antinium workers in Erin's chess club.

After he gains his new class he begins to work as the Queen of the Free Antinium's personal [Cook].

Chronology

Garry protected Erin with the Antinium Chess Club during Skinner's attack. He was one of four Antinium survivors.

After they recovered once his fellow Individual Antinium, Bird began learning how to use a bow to hunt in the winter and Garry learned how to fry them and make a palatable snack out of their carcasses. He presumedly received his new class during this time.

Garry would then spend the most of his time in the hive preparing food for the Free Queen, rarely getting a break to go visit the Inn. He would be allowed to visit Erin on rare instances of either the Free Queen being in a good mood, or having convinced her that he would return with either knowledge or gifts.

Once the other Prognugators of the other hives began to visit, two big changes occurred in his routine. Pivr would bring along two Flying Anintium as a gift for the Free Queen, intending them to be vivisected and thus grant the Free Queen with some possible insights into shaping Antinium. However, Garry hurriedly try to convince the Free Queen to spare the two Flying Antinium and allow them to be his assistants, claiming they would be invaluable for his ideas of "vertical storage" and "height-based cuisine". The Free Queen would accept, and they would later go on to take the names Pisca and Runel.

With the appearance of Xrn, the individual antinium were further allowed more autonomy. Garry would use this to set up a small shop near an entrance to the hive called "Garry's Antinium Edibles". There he would sell various dishes, mostly specializing in baked goods and gluten-free breads for other Antinium. His foods often have insect parts in them, however he does still make insect-free food as he often gets feedback similar to "stop putting centipedes in the damn pies".

Despite the buggy baked goods, he regularly sells his entire inventory. All of his food typically costs 1 Copper per item, far below market price, and he will hand out experimental snacks for free in exchange for feedback. He became well liked by poorer residents of Liscor and his altruism is what would eventually advance his class to the [Kind Baker] class.

• Garry is named after Garry Kasparov, one of the greatest Grandmasters of all time.
• Because of his cooking, there is some contention between Klbkch and the Free Queen, as Klbkch wishes for him to cook for other members of the Hive, including himself. However, the Queen desires that he prepare food for her alone.
• He is the first person in Liscor to obtain a comma class.
