Chapter 1.38 is the 54th chapter of Volume 1 (Archived).

Erin sings in her inn and activates [Immortal Moment], and doesn't fall for Ksmvr's trap.
Synopsis edit edit source
Erin tries to help Pawn, who was grievely disfigured by Ksmvr. The adventurers lend some healing potions and Erin beats Pawn in dozens of chess games until he is calmed down. Then the name Ksmvr is spoken and Erin rushes out of the inn. The others hurry after her to stop her from going after the Prognugator, but Erin is already gone and they can't find her.
Ksmvr's point of view: He is still waiting for Erin, because he has sent Pawn to her as bait: As soon as the human comes fist-swinging towards the city, he will overwhelm her and bring her to the Queen. But he hasn't expected that Relc was there to try to stop him. Or Gazi keeping watch. Or the gnolls unser Krshia paying attention.
Back at the inn, Erin jumps from the roof upon which she had been resting and tells Ceria that her world is 'really shitty'. Feeling depressed from the recent events, Erin starts to sing in her inn, when she subconsciously activates [Immortal Moment], thus making her songs come to life.
